Simba is a 5-year-old American Stafford, who arrived at the shelter due to his owner's loss of housing. He is a fearful dog who needs time to make contact and doesn’t accept everyone right away. He needs patient humans because he takes his time to trust.
He loves to burn off energy by playing or running, to the point that he can sometimes be a bit rough in his play. He is energetic and needs activities to thrive.
At the shelter, we haven’t noticed any reactive behavior towards other dogs, which suggests he may get along well with other dogs in a calm environment. With humans, Simba remains fairly reserved at first.
The ideal home:
Adopters who can respect his signals
A structured and consistent environment
No young children (powerful dog, sometimes rough)
