Our Brussels Animal Shelter is at the heart of our work for animals. Opened in 1982, this building underwent extensive renovation between 2022 and 2025. It is the largest animal shelter in the capital.

It has following services:
The shelter is open Monday to Saturday as follows:
• 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: by appointment only
• 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: open to visitors, with or without an appointment
Visitors are free to meet the dogs, cats and exotic pets at the shelter.
To meet a specific animal (walking a dog or meeting a cat), you may need to wait if the team is already busy.

They also advise adopters to promote responsible and sustainable adoptions.

• taking them out into secure parks

Special efforts are made to limit the animals’ stress, maintain their skills and encourage their gradual socialisation.
The team also takes care of the farm animals at the shelter, including sheep and goats.
