How to write a will?
There are several ways to make a will. Here are the most common:
1. Handwritten will (holographic will)
• Written entirely by hand, dated, and signed by you.
• Easy to make, but it is recommended to deposit it with a notary to ensure its validity and prevent loss.
2. Notarial will
• Drawn up in the presence of a notary, offering optimal legal security.
• Automatically registered in the Central Register of Wills.
In both cases, it is possible to leave a sum of money, real estate, or any other asset to Veeweyde ASBL.
Even a small part of your estate can make a big difference for the animals.
Does Veeweyde benefit from a reduced tax rate?
SRPA Veeweyde (Royal Society for the Protection of Animals and against Cruelty to Animals) is a non-profit organization recognized by the Federal Public Service Finance.
As such, it can receive legacies at a reduced tax rate of 7% in the Brussels-Capital and Walloon Regions, and 0% in the Flemish Region.
