To obtain a tax certificate for a donation made via QR code, you must send your national registration number and full contact details to compta@veeweyde.be.

For all tax certificate requests (for donations totalling €40 or more over the year), please send your full contact details by email to compta@veeweyde.be.

These four reception centers care for nearly 1,000 residents on average every day. Added to this every day are animals abandoned, lost or seized for mistreatment. Every day too, we have the pleasure of having several adopted by new families.

But the preparation of meals, the maintenance of kennels, stables, meadows, farriery fees, veterinary care, administrative work, accommodation, building maintenance, searches for owners and inspections, everything it costs a lot of money.

There are several ways to help us.

    Joining our association is above all symbolic!
    Through this, you give us your support and your presence at our side.

  • Become a volunteer
    Volunteers play a vital role in animal shelters, providing invaluable support to staff and contributing directly to the well-being of the animals.To formalise your application, we invite you to send us your application by e-mail to the following address: benevoles@veeweyde.be.

    Your application must include :

    • Your background, detailing your experience, skills and any previous involvement in animal-related activities or voluntary work.
    • An explanatory note, in which you can tell us about your motivations, your personal experiences with animals and what you would like to contribute to the refuge.
    • Your preferences: do you prefer dogs, cats, Nacs or farm animals (sheep, goats)?

    • Volunteers must be over 18.
    • Above all, they must want to contribute to the welfare of animals and must never have abandoned an animal.
    • He/she must be aware of the amount of time he/she will have to devote to helping the refuge, and this on a regular basis, for a minimum of six months, with a fixed morning per week. Our animals and our staff must be able to count on him in the long term.
    • The volunteer respects the shelter’s safety protocols and applies the safety, hygiene and animal welfare procedures that he or she learned during training to become an animal volunteer.
    • They are resilient and are not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get dirty and clean up litter.
    • They must have a strong heart and be aware that they may have to deal with situations that are sometimes delicate, such as animal mistreatment or legal seizures.
    • The volunteer must also be someone who honours his or her commitments to the animals and to the shelter team.
    • They also keep the animals company by walking them, brushing them and playing with them. He pays them attention and becomes irremediably attached to them.
    • They let us know if they are allergic to animal hair or have any health concerns. Women are asked not to be pregnant for more than three months.
    • Volunteers are constant, committed individuals who may be asked to provide us with an extract from their criminal record.Our teams will examine your application carefully and we will get back to you if your application meets our current needs.We look forward to hearing from you and perhaps welcoming you soon as one of our committed volunteers.

  • Sponsor a horse from our Refuge du Marais or a dog from our Brussels shelter
    Our Marais refuge, in Coutisse, is home to more than 110 elderly horses and 9 donkeys. All need specific and expensive care.
    To become a godfather or godmother of one of our Coutisse horses, we ask for an amount starting from 300 euros per year or 25 euros per month to the account: BE48 1911 2251 7127, specifying the following communication: “MARAIS – horse sponsorship/ donkey + your name »Discover the photos of the horses to sponsor in our tab dedicated to them on this site.   • Make a financial donation!

  • You can also organize a collection of materials and food from your friends, families, colleagues or even within your children’s school.
    You can bring us dog and cat food, blankets, baskets, chew toys or gnawing bones… Thanks to your donations, we save money in our budget

    Our shelters house hundreds of animals abandoned for various reasons, the main ones being lack of time and lack of space after the puppy becomes an adult. We therefore urge the general public not to resort to animal sellers
