A few days ago, we welcomed Tony Tony, a 5-year-old stray cat. A big thank you to the person who found him and wanted to help.
But unfortunately, the mode of transport used could have cost him his life.
Tony Tony arrived locked in an empty fish tank, with insufficient ventilation. He was lacking air, in a state of stress, and might not have survived the trip. Our team intervened just in time.
Today, Tony Tony is doing very well: he has found his family!

But we need to convey an important message:
Thank you for continuing to bring us found animals, by calling us beforehand at 02/527.10.50. But most importantly, please ensure their safety during transport, even on short trips. Here’s what we’ve already seen:
- A cat in a litter box sealed with tape, without enough air.
- Cats in wicker laundry baskets, in plastic bags… and even in garbage bags.
- And here, a fish tank with no air…
Here are a few simple rules for transporting a cat:
- Use an appropriate carrier, or if necessary, a rigid box with ventilation holes.
- Never use a closed bag or a box without ventilation.
- Avoid bumps, loud noises, and humidity.
- Do not feed the cat right before or during transport.
- Make sure the carrier is secured, placing it at the foot of the passenger seat or fastening it with the seatbelt.
- Do not take the cat out of the carrier during the journey. A found animal is already disoriented and stressed.
Let’s offer them a journey that is as safe and soothing as possible so that they arrive at the shelter alive and confident.
Thank you all for your vigilance and your commitment alongside us.
