Our pond and the surrounding poultry area had been in need of care for some time. Renovation work at the refuge meant that the animals and their shelters had slowly disappeared…
But today, a new chapter begins!
✨ The pond will be fully redone: deepened, sealed, and given an artificial island
✨ New pumps and piping will be installed
✨ Several trees will be planted to offer shade and life 🌳
Next up: a redesigned aviary, allowing us to once again welcome chickens, ducks and geese in safe, comfortable spaces.
This transformation is part of our broader renovation plan: creating a calm, natural and enriching environment for all animals in our care.
